I went to La Vega once, more than ten years ago and it was very nice. Devil's Woodyard is usually quiet and breezy unless there's a big crew making a cook because it's much smaller by comparison.

I like the Botanical Gardens but it's so tiny you walk through it in no time. Emperor Valley Zoo is nice for certain settings and for long walks but the state some of the animals and pens are in can be quite depressing. It also has blindingly bright, blazing hot sun every single time I've ever gone lol so prepare for some bad sunburn.

I don't really go anywhere anymore, but I need to check some of these places out! lol

Whenever you go to the Botanical Gardens go up the hill past the remains of the house and keep going up.

Heard if u keep on going you will reach the rated part of the Gardens .. Yuck!

A rated part of the very sad gardens? Hmm...

Last time my cousin carried her preschool students to an outing in the zoo and decided to have lunch in the botanical gardens. I decided to tag along because she needed guardians to watch over the children. Lo and behold we passed several couples that were making out . Poor children,,we had to relocate them to the front of the gardens and sat in the grass

lol thy d norms in today society but I shock it's during daylight hours now I know ppl like to wait when it dark

What..? Ever since I was a child I wanted to go there because I saw men with big bags on their backs going saying that they're going to "hunt". Oh well, my dream has been ruined.. Besides that, public displays of affection is ill-mannered. If I ever see it happening though.. I'll have to give them counselling with Uncle Big Stone. If the man want to play gangster I'll show him what the real meaning of bad is.

The acceptability of PDAs are debatable depending on personal comfort levels and views, and the popular opinion of society depending on the culture and location IMO.

PDAs at a distance from the entrance is not rated in my book. I've seen people trying to get jiggy with it in classrooms and restaurants (with other people around like normal) already. Distant make-out sessions would be decent compared to that lol I'm sorry the kids had to see that though.

My first PDA Shock came when i attended uwi where people were making out in Food courts, classrooms, benches, ..basically anywhere and in broad daylight to! So botanical gardens sounds like the ideal place eh?

Places to not go lime and chill: Past the old house in Botanical Gardens.

^^^^ppl doing that since secondary school dayz lol

True! I saw my first in a classroom at age 12.

I should visit Devil's Woodyard before the end of the month, will take pics and post them for anyone interested.

Well i went to an all girl secondary school so i guess i was very sheltered.

Places to go lime and chill - Down the islands, Gasparee Caves , Scotland Bay.

I heard down the islands has gotten unsafe. Heard people got robbed a few times.

San Fernando hill is another one, but I've also heard of crime in the area. Someone I know was robbed and the women present were sexually assaulted by two bandits hiding in a blind spot on the road, a stone's throw away from a large crowd.

Even off land you can never be safe. There are pirates lurking around just waiting for victims to dock at a lonely spot

This is the lovely gasparee caves, home to some blind species of fish in the water. Some can swim based on the tour guide they get. The water is blue due to the depth and limestone deposits in the cave
