Police were up to last night searching for a 21-year-old woman who was abducted during a robbery at her Palmyra home early yesterday morning. The men who kidnapped Melissa Bisnath told her husband that they were taking her in case he gave them the wrong PIN number of his bank card, police said. The abductors escaped in the man’s white B15 Nissan Sentra which was not recovered up to late yesterday.
A police report stated that around 5.15 am Bisnath and her husband Ronald Gitta, 45, a car salesman, had just returned to their Palmyra Village, Ste Madeleine, home. As they were entering their bedroom, they were confronted by two men, one armed with a gun. Wearing bandana on their faces and dark clothing, the men robbed Gitta of $800 and his bank card, and demanded that he give them his PIN number...story from d guardain

Melissa Bisnath was released yesterday 4pm just a short distance from her home . According to melissa she was not harmed by her abductors

Nandlal Balram 24yrs was plying his car for hire (a white Toyota Tercel) when he stopped for two men along Field Drive, Diego Martin... the men asked to be taken to Blue Basin, Diego Martin. One of them sat in the back seat while the other occupied the front passenger seat...Balram obliged but during the journey the man in the backseat withdrew a pistol and pointed it at him telling him it was a hold-up....the man in the backseat also told Nandlal to stop the car following which both bandits took $300 from Malram...bundled him into the trunk of the car and took control of the vehicle...the car first collided with a bus shed and then slammed into 2 women....The two men crawled out and ran off leaving the two women at the side of the road...Balram was able to crawl out of his trunk....All three remained in stable condition up to last night!!!

I feel bad for Melissa Bisnath, I hope she is doing fine now.

Unfortunately this kind of crime will continue to happen most likely. You cannot eradicate crime completely, but you can reduce it.
