Mixed and Dougla more or less refer to people of mixed origin. Dougla is not a trini slang. Its an actual colonial term with a real definition to refer to someone of African and East Indian descent.

Redz is more or less a type of local woman.


But what about when referring to men, children and/or families as redz?

I've heard "mixed" used to describe different appearances too, it's pretty confusing.
 
A gunta is someone who will rob you. Drive through Beetham Gardens slowly on a nice afternoon for full experience. Besides that, a gunta is a small time gangster that does petty crimes for money. The others are cold blooded killers.

Piper - A piper is considered to be a homeless person
An unfortunate person that will sell/do anything for small money
A person that does small/petty theft


Brokes - A person who has no/little money left
 
macko: to mind people's business. Used as both a noun and a verb.

Macomayeman- (Hard luck if you don't know what this means) For full definition, ask any gunta if he is one if the chance ever arrives, keep repeating for even better results

chow- the art of cutting and seasoning almost any type of fruit with salt, pepper, garlic etc.

wappee- common card game that guntas play and kill each other over, usually over money (see Welcome to Warlock movie)

the avenue- arapita avenue, port of spain.. lively at night, active guntas that rob you even if a police officer is nearby..

(coke) pipe- a highly advanced instrument used by pipers to pull in the smoke from their crack cocaine, usually sells for $10-$20, easy to make as well

the drags/drag mall- small shops set up in POS next to each other found on Fredrick and Henry Street. They command insanely high prices for bootlegg'd shoes and clothes leading one to believe they're genuine.. (few legit people who sell genuine stuff though)

town- usually the speaker means Port of Spain, the capital.

Trini #2: Make sure and bring a 6 pack of stack when yuh comin back

East Dry River- the canal on the east side of POS(Nelson Street), home to pipers, drug dealers, guntas and no one when it's raining.
