The reason why our roads aren't fixed is because of Employment . Our asphalt have paved roads in England , America and more countries and how come their roads are stealthy and we have the asphalt and our roads are being damaged by the slightest things!

ANSWER: Well its because we need employment and fixing the roads with not pure asphalt but oil sand will ensure roads need to be fixed all the time and workers will be occupied. If we paved it will pure asphalt then there will be no need to keep workers employed and many will suffer . So more roads paved properly = less workers

What a developed country we are !

roads in dis area is not fixin beacuse of Mr Henry Awong and Mr Surijrattan Ramberchan.....it's all f--kin politics...everyone in power just fixin dey self and dey family an friends...ah need not say more!!!

yes it is really true.. our country have alot of unemployment and if we really pave the roads with pure asphalt it will indeed put alot of construction companies out of business

wat unemployment...plz....all dem ppl want is CEPEP an URP....an d politicians only sweetin up d public wit dem wok an no body ah makin noise bout dey road again so Kamala thinks ahh d road don fix in d country side!!!

i hate passing thru flanagin road geez that gravel part is sooo horrible.. i wish t&t was like the us to sue the government everytime their car mash up by potholes !!!

katrina you really have a point there because really the government just keeping us busy . you go tell me we have a darn pitch lake and we cant even fix our own roads good or are we being cheap and giving the good stuff to other countries

another reason why our roads are still the way it has been in years is that the governement rather invest in projects that reflects themselves. for example, the highway project for Point Fortin. They will get the fame from the beginning to the end while minor work projects like the gravel road in Flanagin town to be paved will not be recognise hence it still remains the same.

RESIDENTS of Brasso Venado are warning that should the roads leading to their village not be fixed shortly...there will be road protests...Brasso Venado is a village near Flanagin Town, central Trinidad an about 200 residents who live near the Brasso Venado Main Road and Allen Road r being affected...areas are impassable and people have to walk out to get a taxi instead of using their cars..dey just want to highlight the issue so that somebody can come and help dem get their roads fix!!!

THE roads in the constituency of Moruga continue to crumble and collapse, and when he last checked, Member of Parliament for the area Clifton De Coteau, had counted 125 landslides......De Coteau said he was doing all in his power to help people whose homes have been damaged or destroyed by the slides.....He said it was up to the Works and Infrastructure Ministry to begin major infrastructure work....
The Princes Town Regional Corporation under whose jurisdiction the road falls, will not be able to repair the road as it will be too costly, said constituency official Joseph Ali........
Eight families have been affected, Ali said. Affected resident, Brent Vincent, 39, said last year September the road began falling away....He blamed the destruction on faulty water lines......Vincent said although the lines were repaired just before September, damage was already done to the road......

like ah does say....they don't have resources to repair roads but they could sponsor fetes....pay celebrities to do nothing....fly to foreign countries every Monday morning.....what is really going on in this country.....like those who voted for change get short change.......
