OMG THIS CANT BE HAPPENING NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I DOH WANNA BE A LEOOOOO .EWWWWW
COLUMBIA (WACH) -- If you've been going through life thinking you are a Virgo, think again, according to the Baltimore Sun.
An astronomer says that a shift in the Earth's alignment has changed zodiac dates and added a 13th sign. So Virgos, how do you feel about being Leos? Capricorns, you may now be a Sagittarian.
Astronomer Parke Kunkle told a Minnesota TV station that the expected shift added a 13th Zodiac sign: Ophiuchus.
The 12 "original" signs were assigned almost 3,000 years ago, and the position of the Earth in relation to the sun has changed, and according to Kunkle, changed your sign along with it. Kunkle said that change created a one-month bump in the alignment of the stars.
However you don't have to worry about your horoscope reading changing. Scientists say this rotation has been known about since 500 B.C. and the horoscope calendar hasn't moved.
Here is the possible new chart, taking the changes into consideration:
Capricorn: Jan. 20 - Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16 - March 11
Pisces: March 11- April 18
Aries: April 18- May 13
Taurus: May 13- June 21
Gemini: June 21- July 20
Cancer: July 20- Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10- Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16- Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30- Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23- Nov. 29
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29- Dec. 17 (New Sign)
Sagittarius: Dec. 17- Jan. 20
Did your sign change? If so how do you feel about the change, let us know in the comments.
For what it's worth this is what Wikipedia says about the new sign, Ophiucus. It is a large constellation located around the celestial equator. Its name is Greek for ‘serpent bearer’, and it is commonly represented as a man grasping the snake that is represented by the constellation Serpens.
