Is it permissible to lie?!?!?

At a job interview, if you are asked the following question, "Is it permissible to lie," how will you respond? would you give a response?

That's a tricky question. My respond would depend on what job I am being interviewed for. If I being interviewed for sales then yes I would lie to sell my product. (hope there is no legal clause to hunt me down after) Or if I am being interviewed for a Police officer or any Public service position, it would depend on what the lie is about. How big of a lie is it? How will it affect me in the long run? Hmmmm I am a deceiving bastard. lol
