Alot of people said that they come over here to deal drugs because of poverty and people if you take up in this country's corruption you would know that Trinidad are one of the vehicle in transporting drugs to USA and vice versa and other cbean countries..In 2009 a Colombian woman was charged with possession of cocaine and she pleaded guilty because she said she was poor and needed food for her children but justice Boodoosingh clearly said POVERTY IS NOT THE CAUSE FOR CRIME..there are other ways people can seek financial help !

8 illegal immigrants were detained by police during a raid at a hotel and bar in Chaguanas on Friday night.
The women, from St Lucia, Venezuela and Dominican Republic, are expected to appear before a Chaguanas magistrate tomorrow, charged with soliciting sex at the establishment.
A team of officers, including Senior Supt Deodath Dulalchan, Supt Johnny Abraham and Sgt Andy Mohammed went to the businessplace at Chase Village around 11.30 p.m.
Police said the scantily dressed women, ages 18 to 30, attempted to escape when they spotted the officers, but they were apprehended and taken to the Chaguanas Police Station.
The women were interviewed by immigration officers yesterday.
