Two men were fatally shot in the space of two hours in separate incidents yesterday.
Police said Stephen “Ayo” Charles was killed in Belmont while Ryan Burnett was murdered in Enterprise.
Charles, of Layan Hill, was shot around 2 pm during a shootout with other men at Barton Lane.
Police received information that Charles had brought people into the area to carry out a murder on Monday night.
However, the murder did not take place.
Police suspect he may have been killed for planning the murder.
Meanwhile, Burnett, 40, was shot dead at Crown Trace. Police blocked off the area to conduct their investigations.
Up to late yesterday, police were still on the scene.
No one was arrested in connection with the shootings.
