I was browsing through some sites to look the prices of some foreign used cars when i came across several EURO cars for sale. I know there were many companies importing them from abroad and did business by asking for a down payment and collect after the shipment has been made. However, now they are importing them on a large scale now.

Companies such as FT Car Services has BMW 2009 Series for 160k - 180k
Mercedes Benz 2009 Models are selling for 230k
Range Rovers are also selling for 300k-375k

On another website, the BMW Coupe 2009 model is selling for 95k . Wtf!

These cars are selling very cheap now. Alot of people rather import them and wait the 5 weeks than spend alot of money to buy a local one. One article on the papers were talking about Middle Class people now being able to afford these luxurious vehicles.

Do you think now that our local dealers will feel the change?

I think it will be a while before it has an impact on our local dealers. They may also get a lot of business when people require maintenance parts and diagnostics as I am aware that the Mercedes and BMWs are very computerized and rely heavily on the CANBUS system where someone with the program, cable and skills can pretty much remap the behaviour of the available features.

I think that's why alot of people are not buying them because of maintenance , expensive/unavailability of parts , finding someone to service them.

Local dealers have shut their doors on foreign used so thats a major issue to.

On the other hand, alot of EURO Auto businesses have been on the rise. Many people would buy it because its cheap and affordable to drive a "high" class vehicle. I am hearing alot of talk around me about people buying them .

Would you ever buy a EURO Foreign Used Vehicle?

Personally I would never consider a foreign used euro as I simply do not have the money to fix them and in the future when I do, I still won't as they can't be repaired by just about any "backyard" mechanic which I like to think of myself as being sometimes lol. I also like simplicity and that is becoming very hard to find these days. Also, I can pretty much install/make my own "luxuries" so to me I don't feel left out on what these vehicles offer but everyone is different.

Another thing, while a lot of people have been considering/buying them, theres a lot of stigma attached to it as people tend to make very negative statements like oh these people too poor to afford a new one so they went foreign used, oh that used thing no good, etc... So maybe due to social stigma some may avoid it if they are the type to worry about social popularity.

All the same, my opinion aside, its good that we have the people with knowledge locally to repair/maintain these Euros. They provide a very helpful service and get paid for their knowledge/skills.

Nice to know about these cars because these are very awesome in design and also very manageable in price.I would like to buy a car for my persona use from the euro cars.
