FORMER attorney general Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj says the Government needs to compensate municipal police officers who have been waiting for more than a year for money owed to them.
If it fails to pay, there will be legal action, he said.
Speaking to the media at the Creative Arts Centre in San Fernando on Saturday after meeting with municipal officers, Maharaj said that, in January 2015, the Privy Council ruled in favour of municipal officers and the State was expected to pay money owed to them.
