This is the official thread for Rise in Food Prices .

EGG PRICES TO RISE

Consumers will be paying more for eggs from Thursday.
The Association of Table Egg Producers says the wholesale price of eggs will go up due to the rise in the cost of production for packaging, medication, wages, litter and other costs.

Prices are Now :

Small: $ 16:08
Medium: $ 16: 63
Large: $ 17: 23
Extra Large: $ 17: 68

I think the number of people placing Extra Large eggs in small egg crates will also rise. So will the number of people paying $17.68 for small eggs.

Time to get some layers for the yard. Chicken is a good thing to have as long as you don't have any dogs and living in a well fenced yard. They patrol it and even eat the small rat snakes that like to sneak in your house.

Food prices going up and never coming down, My family started growing our own produce, tomatoes, lettuce so on and we also have some dedicated layers. We get over 12 eggs a day from 15 layers, really people need to start doing this.

Yes I too need to start doing this to cut back on Food bills. in addition to buying it for a high price, how much of it is sprayed with chemicals and we dont know?
