So you want to lower your car, you got your nice upsize wheels and now you want to pull it down because its starting to look like a suv.
I have just posted brief information whats it about.
When lowering your car do consider some issues:
Some suspension upgrades i have seen
Lowering springs on OEM shocks can be possible to achieve a decent stance. However you must stay within the parameters of what the OEM shocks can handle. Most OEM shocks can handle 1 inch drop and work fine..Anything lower the shocks will not be able to handle in the long run...Now you can go lower is just your shocks will not last long. In terms of costs this is the cheapest method.
Lowering springs & shocks, using this you have change your full suspension set up..Its more pricy than lowering springs. But its worth it on the long run...Most sets up can go up to 2 inch drop which is realistic...But tend to be less popular now as the introduction of the coilovers.
Coilovers, this is consider to be the ultimate of it..It is costly but worth it if you are track and daily driver. With this set up you can lowering your car raise your can etc again keeping with the parameter of the coilovers. Most tuners uses this because of the flexibility of the lowering.
Others, there are so much new ones such as air suspension etc which are more for car show unless you have the cash to cruise around in this.
