the first motorcycle was designed and built by the German inventors Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach in Bad Cannstatt in 1885. the first bicycle that was made in 1817 by Baron von Drais it didn't have any pedals? People walked along it and in 1865, pedals were added, metal bicycle was called the High-Wheel or Penny Farthing. People had a hard time keeping their balance on this type of bicycle . Even grownups ride tricycles. There are about a billion bicycles in the world, twice as many as motorcars. Almost 400 million bicycles are in China. Every year some 50 million bicycles - and 20 million cars - are produced.
