Are you a cosplay fan? Cosplayer? What are your favorites?


I've tried some simple stuff here and there and love seeing how creative others get. Here are some good ones:

Itd be nice for fun but I really have no need for cosplay. Still think its cool though.

I'm crazy about Halloween and have dressed up a couple times during the "regular" parts of the year here and there. If I had the skill, patience, time, and money to invest I would definitely get serious about it. I love seeing how close to the real thing some people can be, and even how some cosplayers display their own interpretations of some ideas.

It is really interesting but we don't have much support for this here. Come to think of it, we really don't have much support for anything really.

Those are AWESOME!!! There actually are events in Trinidad that include cosplay. I've heard of two over the past few years in South but those types of things aren't very well known or advertised too much. I hope to go to one soon though I probably won't have the guts to participate lol. On Facebook there's a guy who does Batman at cosplay events in Trinidad, so they have to exist! lol Just about anything can be cosplayed. Characters from games, movies, TV shows, books, comics, etc. If I had my way I would make cosplay mandatory once every couple months lol

You know there are cosplay conventions in T&T. The thing is few people know about and attend them. They need more attention.

True. The first one I heard about was because someone I know heard through word of mouth doing business a few days before the event, by which time I already had plans. The second one I saw a very small flyer placed on a wall opposite a bank, but IMO it wasn't a high traffic area or somewhere many people would have paid attention to. I meant to take a picture of it to remember the date etc but it slipped my mind when I was leaving the area. It is something I would like to see more of though, and I would definitely be interested in checking it out myself.
