Collin Partap the Member of Parliament for Cumuto/Manzanilla was fired by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar on August 25, 2012 hours after he was involved in a confrontation with police officers outside the Zen nightclub in Port of Spain...9 days after Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard instructed police to charge former government minister Collin Partap with failing to take a breathalyser test...a summons was served on Partap today and the former Minister in the Ministry of National Security is expected to appear before a magistrate next month....Partap was stopped by cops for activating the emergency siren and blue swivel lights at the corner of Keate and Frederick Streets, Port of Spain, where he was asked to take a Breathalyser test...Partap initially refused...according to the police and was detained and taken to the Belmont Police Station where he contacted his lawyer...It was only after the arrival at the station of acting Commissioner Williams about one hour later that Partap submitted to the test and was found to be within the legal limit....

Science and Technology Minister Rupert Griffith is charged with using insulting language on March 8 last year at Dock Road, Port of Spain, to the annoyance of persons along the said street....the State is seeking to have amendments made to the insulting language charge...After listening to submissions by both the prosecution and the defence team, which, along with Khan, included attorneys Om Lalla and Derrick Balliram, Ayers-Caesar adjourned the matter to consider the applications....The defence proceeded to close its case after Griffith said he would not be giving evidence nor would he be calling any witnesses to testify on his behalf.....
Griffith will walks free....with Wrong charges...there will be no conviction...officers need to be trained so charges can be correct an the law can be enforced...no matter who it is.....

Emmanuel George is the new Minister of National Security due to Jack Warner has resigned as Minister of National Security.......
