I think the quote society can predict , I determine my destiny essentially speaks for young people in their teens. It's that everyone tries to shape them to be like them or attempt to predict how they're gonna turn out to be in the long term.

These people are sometimes so obsessed with their ideology they forget that it's the person who makes the decision and its the person who decides what they want. Sometimes we are quoted as being unreal but really we are just different and we may understand a deeper understanding to the same "things" that average society sees and follows.

It gives you a perspective where you can do things with meaning to better yourself. Something we need more off in Trinidad and Tobago.

I love this one. Reminds people to prioritize the important things. I think some would also add relationships, special people, etc. When you think about it, when people are in need they are usually given food and water with kind words from others; not diamonds and emeralds.

Food for thought .

This one is quite motivational. A lot of people do not succeed as they wish with certain things and allow that to loom over their heads and deem themselves as failures. As long as you can try again tomorrow (another way, another place, etc) it's not the end, just a continuation or new chapter.

SO with regards to the quote as of today, I think "food, water and pleasing words - - fools consider rocks as gems," generally portrays society these days in as few words as possible. It takes an approach from a manipulative stand point where people who possess the skills to influence others to see their perspective by providing to people something they want, the person can win these people to their perspective.
