I assume it's the two wires that are supposed to connect to my indicator. Never got the chance to investigate it properly but the wires were just hanging loosely right behind where they are supposed to connect to the indicator.

bought a laptop for my mom a year ago and she never used it because of windows 8 and with windows 8 they stopped including MS office (just a limited time trial) which is what she bought it for. Huge waste of time. She can't wait to get windows 10.
